Description: Four award-winning chefs put their burger-creating skills to the test in this battle of the “Best Burger” chefs. The winner is guaranteed a spot in the Burger Battle at the November 2014 World Food Championships! Returning this year is Chris Lucchese of Off Track Cooking, Los Angeles. Also participating are three chefs located along Hwy 395: Chef Jason Hoeltzel of CJs Bistro in Mammoth Lakes, Steve Miller of Rock Creek, and Rena McCullough of Ohana’s 395 Food Truck/Catering in Lee Vining. Attendees and a celebrity judging panel determine who wins the award for “Best Burger at MFWE 2014!”
Judges: Matt Toomey of Toomey’s Take Out and Catering–last year’s Winner heads the panel. Other guest judges include Sean Turner of Mammoth Brewing Company, Vivian Patterson, formerly of Wine Warehouse and currently a gastronome, and Brad Metzger of Brad Metzger Restaurant Solutions Hospitality Recruitment and Placement in LA.
